Tessa and Bernard were wonderful hosts who take a lot of pride in what they do. The food was delicious, the room was comfortable and roomy, the grounds were beautiful, and the innkeepers were outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to return. We have never stayed anywhere like this. Lots of great extras and "little touches."

Taylor House Inn is a Bed & Breakfast and is also known for offering romantic getaways, hosting fabulous family reunions, corporate retreats and some of the best weddings in Valle Crucis. With the majestic surrounding valley scene, it is the perfect place to spend some quality time as well as to host an outdoor event. As the new owners of this BnB, we invite you to recapture a wonderful time with us in the beautiful Historic Valle Crucis; experience a place that seems of times past, a place where moments of solitude are as abundant as the rivers and streams that give life to the surrounding hills. We fell fortunate to be part of such a powerful place and would like to extend our hospitality to help share the magic of Valle Crucis.

History

This lovely old farmhouse was built for the C.D."Squire" Taylor family in 1911. It received extensive renovations in 1987 and is now home to hundreds of travelers. It has been entered in The National Register of Historic Places.

" A Piece of Paradise"

If you are looking for a true getaway that is as close to perfect as you can get, this is the place for you. The view from the porch is fantastic giving you the impression that you a in the country even though Boone and Blowing Rock are just short drives away. Our suite was large, full of light and very comfortable. The breakfast was a gourmet treat--not just a hum drum eggs and bacon. We have stayed in numerous bed and breakfasts, and the owners here made us feel like part of their family. The personal touch added so much to our visit. We didn't want to leave!

"B and B R and R !"

I needed a mom's break for a day or two, just to rest, refresh, and rejuvenate. The Taylor House was just the place-- peaceful, friendly, lovely, and surrounded by a bounty of God's mountain glory! Bernard and Tessa make every effort to make their guests feel comfortable and pampered. It was apparent that every guest was enjoying themselves by the friendly conversations going on in the living room and at breakfast. It was a delight to spend time at the Taylor House Inn, and I plan to return soon with my husband for a weekend date!

This inn was an unknown to us and we were plesantly surprised. The inn is lovely and the innkeepers are a charming pair. They were attentive to our every need, and made several suggestions that made our visit to the area more interesting. The inn was very clean and the food was very good. It is our hope that as these new innkeepers settle into their new endeavor they will continue to improve an old inn. From everything we saw, and from the welcome we received, we will be returning to the Taylor House Inn again and again.
